What are virtual volunteers?

We invite teens, ages 14 to 18, to participate as a Library Virtual Volunteer. You'll work with other teens and librarian mentors on meaningful projects virtually, meeting online and working on volunteer projects from your home.

What's the current project?

Teens create Encouragement Cards that are roughly modeled after artist trading cards.

The cards have a simple artistic picture on one side and an encouraging and supportive message and the reverse side. The finished cards can be given to friends and fellow students, or, if you like, you can bring them in to the Library, and we will find teens to give them to.

The cards are meant to support mental health awareness and provide support to teens who need it right now.

How to volunteer

Fill out this online application form. You'll be contacted by one of our librarians. It's that simple!

If you become a Virtual Volunteer, you'll track your volunteer hours for us. Here's a tracker you can use.
