PODS Tucson Kicks Off Holiday Season with Gift Donation Drive

To bring a little joy to our troops this holiday season, PODS® Tucson is gearing up with KQTH and the Military Affairs Committee of the Tucson Metro Chamber to collect gift donations for the 7th year of Operation Zulu. PODS will ask residents to donate a gift to Miller’s Surplus where a PODS container will serve as a collection point during the duration of the drive.

The Military Affairs Committee of the Tucson Metro Chamber program assists the Tucson business community in raising funds and collecting holiday gifts to send to local deployed Airmen. The gifts will be wrapped and shipped to a deployed Operation Zulu “Santa” who will deliver the gifts to men and women for them to enjoy a little piece of home during the holidays.

“This is our third year working with Operation Zulu so we are both humbled and honored to help them give back to our airmen this holiday season,” said Mike Smith, Vice President of Operations for PODS Tucson. “It’s a wonderful event that helps show how much the Tucson community appreciates their service.”

The public is encouraged to drop off donated gifts such as puzzles, footballs, etc. into the safe and secure PODS containers to the following dates and location:
