The following is a partial list of road construction projects and traffic restrictions taking place in Scottsdale Aug. 30 - Sept 8. For more information, contact Traffic Engineering at 480-312-7250.

Scottsdale Road restricted through October for water line replacement

Southbound Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one lane between Mayo and Princess boulevards from July 22 through late October while a water line is replaced. Northbound and intersecting streets will also have intermittent restrictions during the project. Detour on Pima and Tatum roads. Loop 101 widening project

The Arizona Department of Transportation has begun a project to widen and improve Loop 101 from Interstate 17 in Phoenix to Pima Road in Scottsdale. To learn more about the project and upcoming traffic restrictions, please visit the ADOT’s project webpage, where you can also subscribe to project alerts. Following are upcoming restrictions:

• Traffic in both directions on the Loop 101 between Scottsdale and Hayden roads will be shifted around a work zone in the freeway median while a new bridge is built over the future Miller Road extension. Westbound traffic will be shifted by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, and eastbound traffic will be shifted by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26. There will be no reduction in travel lanes for the traffic shift, which will be in place for approximately one year.
• Scottsdale Road will be closed in both directions at Loop 101 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 26 - 30 and Sept. 2 - 6.

Restrictions continue near the Loop 101 and 90th Street/Pima Road interchange through Sept. 15

A Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community construction project southeast of the intersection of 90th Street and Via Linda will cause traffic restrictions and delays on 90th Street from Via Linda to Loop 101 through Sept 15. Drinkwater Boulevard underpass closed until fall 2019 for repairs to bridge

The Drinkwater Boulevard underpass will remain closed until fall 2019 to all traffic from Second Street to First Avenue to permit repairs to Drinkwater Bridge. Detour on Scottsdale or Miller roads from Osborn Road to Indian School Road. Please visit ScottsdaleAZ.gov and search "Drinkwater Bridge" for more information on the construction project.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS SOUTH OF INDIAN BEND ROAD

New restrictions

• Osborn Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Drinkwater Boulevard and Miller Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Sept. 1 - 14 for utility work.
• Eastbound Indian School Road will be reduced to one or two lanes from 68th Street to Goldwater Boulevard 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights Sept. 6 - 20 for boring. During those same times and date Goldwater Boulevard will be reduced to one or two lanes in each direction at Indian School Road.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Brown Avenue from Second Street to Main Street 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sept. 2 - 6 for road work. During those same times and dates Main Street will be closed from Scottsdale Road to Brown Avenue.
• The southbound curb lane on Goldwater Boulevard will be closed at 5th Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 2 - 6 for boring.
• Northbound traffic on 64th Street will be shifted toward the center of the road at Calle Rosa 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 5 - 9 for ADA ramp work. During those same dates southbound traffic on 68th Street will be shifted toward the center two-way left-turn lane at Lafayette Boulevard 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• The southbound curb lane on Hayden Road will be closed at Lincoln Drive 8:30 to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Sept. 3 - 17 for boring. During those same times and dates the eastbound through lane on Lincoln Drive will be closed at Hayden Road.
• The southbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at McDowell Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Sept. 2 - 13 for utility work. During those same times and dates the westbound curb lane on McDowell Road will be closed at Scottsdale Road.
• The eastbound curb lane on McDowell Road will be closed from 85th Place to Pima Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Sept. 2 - 16 for utility work.
• The westbound curb lane on Camelback Road will be closed at Miller Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Sept. 2 - 13 for utility work.
• The northbound curb lane on Hayden Road will be closed from Center Commerce Boulevard to Palm Lane 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 29 - Sept. 13 (except Sundays) for utility work. During those same times and dates Hayden Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction from Oak Street to Palm Lane.
• Eastbound McDonald Drive will be reduced to one or two lanes immediately east of 73rd Place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Sept. 4 - 18 for boring.
• The eastbound curb lane on McDonald Drive will be closed from Scottsdale Road to Cattletrack Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Sept. 2 - 13 for utility work.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at McDonald Drive 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights Sept. 6 - 14 for road work.

Ongoing restrictions

• Southbound traffic on 78th Street will be shifted to the center at San Miguel Avenue 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 24 - Sept. 6 for road work.
• Indian School Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 60th and 64th streets 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 26 - 31 for road work.
• Eastbound traffic on Chaparral Road will be shifted to the two-way center left-turn lane at Woodmere Fairway 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 26 - Sept. 9 for a manhole installation.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Vista Drive 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 26 - 30 for road work.
• The northbound curb lane on Goldwater Boulevard will be closed from Bishop Lane to First Avenue 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays Aug. 26 - Sept. 6 for ADA ramp work. During those same times and dates there will be a curb side restriction at the Main Street and Marshall Way roundabout, and parking will be restricted on the south side of Second Street immediately east and west of Bishop Lane.
• Osborn Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at Miller Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 - 31 (except Sundays) for utility work. During those same times and dates southbound traffic on Miller Road will be shifted to the left turn lane at Osborn Road.
• The southbound curb lane on Drinkwater Boulevard will closed at Third Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays Aug. 23 - Sept. 6 for boring. During those same times and dates parking will be restricted on north side of Third Avenue from Drinkwater Boulevard to Buckboard Trail on both sides of Buckboard Trail immediately south of Third Avenue.
• The southbound curb lane on Hayden Road will be closed on Hayden Road from Loma Land Drive to Roosevelt Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 16 - Sept. 16 for pipe installation.
• The northbound curb lane on Goldwater Boulevard will be closed from Bishop Lane to First Avenue 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays Aug. 19 - 30 for ADA ramp work. During those same times and dates curb restrictions will occur at the Main Street and Marshall Way roundabout, and parking will be restricted on the south side of Second Street near Bishop Lane.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at or near the intersection of Camelback Road and 68th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 19 - 30 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Thomas Road and 61st Place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 19 - 30 for boring.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on 70th Street at Osborn Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 14 - 30 for utility work. During those same times and dates the southbound right turn lane on 70th Street will be closed at Thomas Road.
• Northbound Hayden Road will be reduced to one lane at McKellips Road through Sept. 6 for a gas line installation. During those same times and dates the westbound left turn lanes on McKellips Road will be closed at Hayden Road.
• First Street will be closed from Marshall Way to immediately west of Scottsdale Road June 3 - Nov. 15 for utility work. Detour on Main Street or Second Street.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Hayden Road and Thomas Road through Friday, Sept. 6, for intersection improvements.

Upcoming restrictions

• 70th Street will be closed from Sixth Street to Osborn Road 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Sept. 9 - 23 for utility work. During those same times and dates eastbound traffic on Sixth Street will be shifted toward the center of the road at 70th Street.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS FROM INDIAN BEND TO THUNDERBIRD ROADS

New restrictions

• Northbound traffic on 108th Street will be shifted to the center of the road at Laurel Lane 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 27 - Sept. 17 for boring.
• Traffic on Cholla Street will be controlled by a flag person operation immediately east of 98th Way 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Sept. 2 - 16 for utility work.
• Southbound traffic on 100th Street will be shifted to the bike lane at 100th Place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 4 - 6 for utility work. During those same times and dates northbound traffic on 100th Street will be shifted toward the center of the road at Topaz Drive.
• Traffic in each direction on Mountain View Road will be alternately shifted to the center two-way left-turn lane from 96th Street to 112th Street 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays Aug. 28 - Sept. 6 for ADA ramp work. During those same times and dates a flag person operation will control traffic on Mountain View Road immediately south of Via Linda.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Mountain View Road from 113th Place to 120th Street 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays Sept. 6 - 13 for ADA ramp work.
• Northbound traffic on 68th Street will be shifted to the center left-turn lane at Chaparral Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 4 - 18 (except Sundays) for utility work. During those same times and dates westbound traffic on Chaparral Road will be shifted to the center left-turn lane at 68th Street.
• The eastbound curb lane on Shea Boulevard will be closed from Miller Road to 78th Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Sept. 2 - 13 for utility work.
• The southbound curb lane on 124th Street will be closed at Via Linda 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 3 - 6 for utility work. During those same times and dates the eastbound curb and right turn lanes on Via Linda will be closed at 124th Street.
• The eastbound outside left turn lane on Shea Boulevard will be closed at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 6, for utility work. During those same times and dates the northbound curb lane on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed at Shea Boulevard.
• Traffic on 84th Street will be controlled by a flag person operation immediately south of Desert Cove Avenue 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 9 - Oct. 11 (except Sundays) for driveway maintenance. During those same dates the northbound bike lane on 84th Street will be closed immediately south of Desert Cove Avenue 24 hours.

Ongoing restrictions

• The southbound curb lane on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed at Desert Cove Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 27 - Sept. 6 for utility work. During those same times and dates a flagger will direct traffic at 113th Street and Desert Cove Avenue.
• Traffic in both directions on Gold Dust Avenue will be shifted to the center of the road between 70th Street and Scottsdale Road weekdays Aug. 23 - Sept. 6 for utility work.
• The northbound curb lane on Hayden Road will be closed from Mountain View Road to Shea Boulevard weekdays Aug. 19 - 30 for tree trimming.
• The eastbound curb lane on Shea Boulevard will be closed immediately east of 69th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27 - Sept. 13 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• The eastbound curb lane on Cactus Road will be closed at 76th Place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 26 - Sept. 7 (except Sundays) for driveway and sidewalk work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Thunderbird Road and Scottsdale Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 19 - 30 for boring.
• Northbound traffic on 91st Street will be shifted to the center two-way left-turn lane immediately north of Via Linda weekdays Aug. 19 - 30 for boring.
• Scottsdale Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction at Doubletree Ranch Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 17 - 30 (except Sundays) for utility work. During those same dates and times, the eastbound curb lane on Doubletree Ranch Road will be closed immediately east of Scottsdale Road, and northbound Scottsdale Road will be reduced to two lanes at Gainey Suites Drive.

Upcoming restrictions

• Shea Boulevard will alternately be reduced to one lane in each direction at 70th Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 16 - 27 (except Sundays) for utility work.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS NORTH OF THUNDERBIRD ROAD

New restrictions

• Traffic in each direction on Greenway Road will alternately be shifted to the center of the road immediately east of 78th Street weekends only Sept. 6 - 20 for utility work.
• The northbound outside left turn lane on Miller Road will be closed at Pinnacle Peak Road Aug. 28 - Sept. 30 (except Sundays) while a manhole is installed.
• A flag person operation will control traffic on 93rd Street at Calle de las Brisas Aug. 31 - Sept. 30 (except Sundays) for utility work. During those same dates a flag person operation will control traffic on 95th Street at Conquistadores Drive and on Dobson Road at Conquistadores Drive.

Ongoing restrictions

• The eastbound curb lane on Thompson Peak Parkway will be closed immediately west of 100th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 26 - Sept. 6 for fiber work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Carefree Drive and Tom Darlington Drive 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Sept. 2 - 16 for boring.
• Northbound traffic on Miller Road will be shifted to the southbound left turn lane at Pinnacle Peak Road Aug. 19 - 30 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Thompson Peak Parkway and Scottsdale Healthcare Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 19 - Sept. 6 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Bell Road and Perimeter Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 19 - Sept. 8 while a cell site is installed.
• Southbound traffic on 73rd Street will be shifted to the center line at Scottsdale Healthcare Drive 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 21 to Sept. 6 while a cell site is installed.
• The eastbound curb lane on Redfield Road will be closed at 96th Street 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Aug. 19 - Sept. 6 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on 91st Street from Legacy Boulevard to Palo Brea Bend 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 19 - 30 for utility work.
• Traffic on Princess Boulevard will be controlled by a flag person operation at 77th Place 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays July 1 - Aug. 31 for boring.

Upcoming Restrictions

• Curb lanes in both directions on Pinnacle Peak Road will be closed immediately east of Miller Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Sept. 9 - 27 for boring. During those same times and dates northbound traffic on 74th Street and southbound traffic on Los Portones Drive will be shifted to the center of the road.
• Northbound Miller Road will be closed at Pinnacle Peak Road Sept 9 - 18 for utility work. During those same dates Miller Road will be closed at Adele Court. Detour on Pinnacle Peak Road to 77th Street.
