Tucson, AZ—A dedicated webpage at www.sicharro100.com is now live and open to the public as part of commemorative activities for the El Charro Cafe 100th Anniversary in 2022. The Flores family would love to hear from employees and patrons who would like to share their memories of special occasions, favorite dishes, and stories that are a part of the lore and love of this iconic restaurant that has helped secure Tucson’s international reputation as a culinary destination. The call for stories will continue through December 2021. 100 of the best stories will be selected to be featured in celebration publications, social media posts, newsletters, etc. The writers of each of the selected 100 stories will receive a $100 Si Charro gift card. “Over the years, our guests have generously shared their wonderful memories, as they have celebrated the special occasions of their lives with us. We would love to have a permanent record of these stories to commemorate the hard work and dedication that started with our dear Tia Monica in 1922 and has taken us through to today” said Carlotta Flores who along with her husband Ray and small children moved from California in 1970s to take over the restaurant operations f from her ailing aunt.

Barrio Charro - New menu items include the Menlo Park BBQ pulled pork torta and the Cabrina Cubano torta as well as the new Panchiladas (see attached)- a clever take on Mexican pizza using Don Guerra’s house focaccia and El Charro enchilada sauce. Best of all, the ###a>restaurant is now open Monday through Friday from 11am to 8pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 8pm. Home delivery through Door Dash is coming soon along with new daily specials.
