Storm System Brings Breezy, Cooler Conditions To Tucson — See When Heat Returns
A Great Basin storm system will bring gusty winds, hazy skies and cooler highs across southeast Arizona Monday.
TUCSON, AZ — Tucson is starting the week with a breezy, cooler-than-normal Monday as a storm system passes north of the region, but the break from the heat won't last long.
High temperatures Monday are forecast to run 4 to 10 degrees below normal, and winds will be the bigger story through the day. Southwest gusts are expected to reach 35 mph, with the strongest winds south and east of Tucson.

Skies may look hazy early in the day from dust kicked up by Sunday's winds, though that should clear as conditions settle down by early evening.

The wind also raises fire concerns. Portions of Cochise, Graham and Greenlee counties could see near-critical to critical fire weather conditions for a period Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Humidity values are expected to stay above the worst thresholds in most places, but forecasters are watching closely.
