Tokyo Olympics: See Which Tucson Athletes Made The Cut

Several Tucson residents will compete in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, which kick off on Friday. Here's who will represent Team USA.

TUCSON, AZ — A trio of Tucson residents are on the ground in Tokyo, preparing for the start of the Olympics.

The games, which kick off with Friday's opening ceremony, run through Aug. 8 in Japan's capital city.

The three Tucsonans will represent the U.S. Olympic Team at the games, competing in softball, diving and cycling.

The trio are among the 621 members of the country's Olympic team at the Tokyo games.

The three Tucson residents are softball player Dejah Mulipola, diver Delaney Schnell and cyclist Corben Sharrah.

Those that want to watch the three can do so at varying points during the games, with Sharrah's cycling race running from Friday through next Wednesday.

Mulipola and the U.S. softball team will compete in the six-team Olympic tournament, held between Wednesday and next Tuesday.

For Schnell, the Olympic diving events will run from this Sunday through Aug. 7.
