Tucson Man Arrested In Connection With Death Of His Elderly Mom
Brian Patrick Easter was charged with second-degree murder after his mother Patricia died of injuries consistent with blunt force trauma.

TUCSON, AZ —A Tucson man has been arrested in connection with the death of his 83-year-old mother, who was found dead in the home they shared on Friday, the Tucson Police Department said.
Brian Patrick Easter, 54, has been charged with second-degree murder and booked into the Pima County Jail after his mother was found dead at the home in the 9800 block of E. Amaroso Lane.
According to police reports, at 1:30 p.m., an emergency call was placed, which is believed to have been from Brian Easter, who said his mother had been found unresponsive. KOLD reported that Brian Easter reported that his mother was having a heart attack.

The Tucson Fire Department was dispatched for a medical call, and when they got to the scene they found Patricia Easter's body. According to authorities, suspicious circumstances were noted and foul play was immediately suspected.
KOLD reported that investigators said Patricia Easter's injuries were more consistent with blunt force trauma than a medical emergency. Blood was found throughout the home, including on the walls and floor, according to reports.

Tucson police said officers from the department's Operations Division East and detectives from the Homicide Unit were sent to the scene to continue the investigation.
The detectives conducted interviews and obtained a search warrant for the home, and evidence was located and processed, according to police.
Tucson police said that probable cause was found during the search, which led to detectives arresting Brian Easter.
