Tucson Radio Stations Compete to 'Pack the PODS Container'
Throughout March and April, PODS Tucson will team up with each station to collect donated items to benefit the Salvation Army Rehab Centers
To kick off the spring cleaning season, local Tucson radio stations, 106.3 the Groove and 94.9 MIXfm will encourage residents to donate their gently used items for the first annual ‘Pack the PODS Container’ spring donation drive. Throughout March and April, PODS Tucson will team up with each station to collect donated items to benefit the Salvation Army Rehab Centers of Tucson.
PODS Tucson will provide PODS containers to both radio stations to help save the Salvation Army Rehab centers thousands of dollars in moving and storage logistics costs. The centers offer residential housing, work, and group and individual therapy, all in a clean, wholesome environment. The care the rehab residents receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment.
“This is donation drive is a fun way to collect donations but also an amazing opportunity for the Tucson community to come together and help those in need,” said Mike Smith, Vice President of Operations for PODS Tucson. “PODS feels so privileged to be a part of the drive each and every year, we can’t wait to see what the first spring donation drive holds.”

The public is encouraged to come out and drop off gently used clothing and household items into the safe and secure PODS containers during the following dates and locations:
