Old Tucson Independence Day celebration, 201 S. Kinney Road, Tucson: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, kids under 11 get in free; kids can play games for prizes and enjoy special 4th of July shows; features include a watermelon eating contest, special chuck wagon food and Old Tucson’s regular shows and attractions.

Wednesday, July 3

Casino Del Sol: Anniversary Fireworks Celebration, 8:30 p.m., AVA Amphitheater, 5655 W. Valcencia Road, Tucson: Admission is free to this event, complete with fireworks shows, food specials, music and more;

Colossal 4th at Hacienda del Lago Golf Club, 14155 Via Rancho del Lago, Vail: block party starts at 5 p.m. with fireworks at dusk.

Thursday, July 4
Star Spangled Spectacular, Crossroads at Silverbell Park, 7548 N. Silverbell Road, Marana:
event starts at 5 p.m., fireworks at dusk.

“A” Mountain Fireworks, west of Tucson: fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m; watch for free in Tucson from parking lot B (off Cushing Street between Granada and Church avenues); parking lot C (off Granada between Broadway Boulevard and Cushing Street); or at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Avenue.

Diamonds In The Sky, Kino Stadium, 2500 E. Ajo Way, Tucson: event starts at 5 p.m., fireworks at dusk.

Oro Valley 4th of July Celebration, James D. Kriegh Park (note location change from Naranja Park), 23 W, Calle Concordia, Oro Valley: music and games start at 5 p.m., fireworks at 9 p.m.

Red, White and Boom, Sahuarita Lake Park, 15466 S. Rancho Sahuarita Boulevard, Sahuarita: events start at 6 p.m., fireworks at dusk.

Let Freedom Sing, Fox Tucson Theatre, 17 W. Congress St., Tucson: patriotic music at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., tickets start at $10. Read more details.

Fourth of July Party at Sonoran Glass, 633 W. 18th St., Tucson: 6 p.m.-10 p.m.; admission is $5 (kids under 12 get in free) for this event that celebrates Independence Day with a barbecue, glass demonstrations, workshops, water balloon fights and a view of the “A” Mountain fireworks; extra charges for the barbecue and glass workshops.

Sierra Vista Fourth of July Celebration, Veterans Memorial Park, 3105 E. Frye Boulevard, Sierra Vista: 7-11 p.m., admission is free.
