Tucson Traffic Snarled By Downtown Protest
With the Trump-imposed deadline to fix DACA, supporters of the program took to the streets of downtown Tucson Tuesday afternoon.

TUCSON, AZ – Supporters of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program took to the streets of Tucson Tuesday afternoon to express displeasure with Congressional inaction. They gathered outside the Joel Valdez Library at 4 p.m..
President Trump had announced he was ending the program, which had been started by President Obama. In doing so, he instructed Congress to come up with a fix to the program by March 5.
That deadline came and went with nothing happening. While close to 800,000 people face the possibility of deportation, several court rulings have stalled that for now.

While the marchers received a lot of support, Rep. Martha McSally – who is running for the Republican nomination for the Senate seat being vacated by Jeff Flake – blamed Democrats for the plight of DACA recipients.
