Affected customers will be without water service for the duration of the work to replace a central electrical control panel. More than 1700 customers received a notification of the outage by mail this past weekend and were provided a map showing the outage boundaries. Bottled water will be made to customers living in the affected area. Bottled water will be distributed at Casa Blanca Plaza, located on the northeast corner of Oracle Road and Rudasill Road. Customers picking up water are asked to provide verification of residence in the affected area, such as a copy of a Utility Services Statement, or the Notification Letter that was sent last week.
The notification letter sent to customers includes a recommendation for customers to fill a bathtub with water to use for flushing toilets and for any other household uses. After water service is restored, affected customers are advised to flush their water line from the outdoor spigot closest to their meter, and at faucets inside their home to help remove air from the distribution lines. Updates will be provided at tucson/az.gov/water – Water Outages and Advisories.

Devine Reservoir is located on North First Avenue near Rudasill Road and is an integral water delivery feature for water service zones located within the Catalina Foothills area that extend from Ina Road, Craycroft Road, River Road, and Oracle Road. The reservoir has been completely rehabilitated to include new interior structural elements, a new roof and upgraded electrical and electronics systems. Funds for the improvements come from the Tucson Water Capital Improvement budget. A series of 4–6-hour interruptions in water service have taken place since the Fall of 2020 as improvements to the reservoir site were made. This outage represents the final task in the process of upgrading this reservoir site.
