Who gets to go to college? And even more importantly, who gets to graduate?

Most people would say that anyone who works hard and does well in high school would qualify, but in fact, many young adults who dream of going to college never get there, or if they do, they never finish.

Based on research conducted with disadvantaged students at the University of Texas, one measurable solution to this problem is peer support with timely, targeted messages that tell students that they do indeed “belong in college.”

Using the documentary Personal Statement, and the curriculum that the filmmakers developed to go with it, Pima County Public Library is encouraging all teens to participate in #WeBelongInCollege.
