With Costco and a Walmart Supercenter also planned along Old Vail Road, residents can expect more retail, sit-down restaurants, and a major makeover of this growing commercial corridor.
   

• Desert View takes home inaugural El Sol Cup with Duel in the District victory over Sunnyside (allsportstucson.com) — Desert View claimed the first-ever El Sol Cup with a decisive win over Sunnyside, highlighted by four touchdowns from standout Desmond Dowayee. For Vail-area fans, the focus now shifts to Sunnyside’s next home game, when Vail’s Cienega Bobcats visit Blue Devil Stadium for a Friday night matchup kicking off at 7 p.m.
