  1. The public comment period for Vulcan Asphalt LLC's permit renewal ends on Jun. 9. The Air Quality Control Renewal Permit is required for the company to continue operating its Yuma Hot-Mix Asphalt plant. Comments can be submitted by mail and electronically by clicking the following link. (ADEQ)
  2. A Yuma High School graduate has published a new book titled "El Oz." The story is a tribute to activist Dolores Huerta and pays homage to author David Damian Figueroa's Yuma farmworker family. The book is filled with magic, subtle lessons, and familiar locations. (KAWC)
  3. Yuma Regional Medical Center received a "D" grade in the Spring 2022 Hospital Safety Grades report. The list is published by The Leapfrog Group, an independent watchdog group that monitors healthcare facilities. The grade represents a score using 30 measurements of patient safety. (Patch)
