• YPD seeks public's help locating missing 16‑year‑old girl (yumasun.com) — Yuma Police are asking residents to help find 16-year-old Alexandra Becerra, last seen leaving her home within Yuma city limits on August 22 in a black four-door sedan. Described as 5-foot-5 with blue hair and brown eyes, she's known to frequent the Quechan and Cocopah reservations. Anyone with information is urged to call YPD or submit an anonymous tip.
   

• Firefighters battle attic blaze on Corona Drive (yumasun.com) — Firefighters from the Yuma Fire Department knocked down a Friday afternoon house fire on East Corona Drive after flames spread into the attic. Crews worked in extreme heat around rooftop solar panels, stayed on scene for overhaul and fire watch, and reported no injuries. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
   

• Surprise: California Licenses Dominate 95 Illegal Alien Truck Arrests on Border in Yuma, AZ (redstate.com) — Border Patrol and partner agencies recently arrested 95 commercial truck drivers identified as illegal immigrants in the Yuma Sector, most carrying California-issued commercial licenses. The piece uses those Yuma-area busts to argue that blue-state licensing policies endanger highway safety and calls for tougher federal crackdowns on non-domiciled CDL programs nationwide.
