- Multiple Yuma County elementary and middle school students will head to the state championship after participating in the 2022 MathCounts Chapter Competition. MathCounts' top four highest-scoring students from Yuma's Western Arizona Chapter included Angelina Arnn, Samantha Chulamorkodt, Owen Steinmetz, and Jon Jordan. (KYMA)
- A Yuma man has died after being involved in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday, Mar. 16, in the area of County 14th Street and Avenue 14½ E. Harold Hartman, 85, reportedly sustained critical injuries that eventually led to his death. The case is still under investigation. (Yuma County Sheriff's Office)
- In an effort to keep the city safe this St. Patrick's Day weekend, more officers from the City of Yuma Police Department are on duty, looking for impaired drivers now through Sunday, Mar. 20. The department recommends planning ahead on a way to get home if you will be drinking, whether it's a designated sober driver or a rideshare service. Impaired drivers should be reported to authorities. (KYMA)
