🌱 Organic Worm Farm + Person Of Interest Named In Homicide Case

Here are the top three stories in Yuma today:

  • Yuma's first organic worm farm is in the making where a local company intends to take organic waste from the region and process it through earthworms. DMF Living Soils is a company located right here in Yuma that is making a 20-acre worm farm to breed and harvest worms. The company's goal is to turn dirt into the soil with the help of worms to make some big changes in our soil and help out the farming community. (KYMA)
  • Yuma County Sheriff's Office Investigators have identified Grant Daniel Easley, 26, of Yuma, Arizona as a person of interest in a homicide case after an Apr. 4 shooting. Easley is described as a white male, approximately 5'11 feet tall, and who weighs approximately 173 pounds. The Yuma County Sheriff's Office recommends the public not to approach the individual. Anyone with information regarding this incident, or who has seen Easley, is encouraged to contact the Yuma County Sheriff's Office at 928-783-4427 or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.   • The City of Yuma Parks and Recreation recently announced the Kennedy Regional Pool is coming back this summer! The pool had been closed for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
