Here are the top three stories today in Yuma:
- The Yuma Police Department was able to identify an individual with the help of social media. Yesterday, Yuma PD asked for help in identifying a pictured subject who was suspected of theft at Chevron on E. 24th St, on Mar. 15. After posting the photo on Facebook, Yuma PD was able to identify the individual. The investigation is ongoing. (Yuma PD)
- According to the National Weather Service Phoenix, high pressure throughout the Southwest may cause temperatures to reach the 90-degree mark in southern Arizona this week. A tweet by the weather service reported Yuma reached 90 degrees for the first time in 2022 on Tuesday which is a week earlier than usual. If spending time outdoors, officials are encouraging people to hydrate, avoid extended sun exposure, and wear lightweight clothing. (AZ Central)
