Here are the top three stories today in Yuma:
- Volunteers gather to feed and greet asylum-seekers at the border in the Yuma Gap. The gap is an opening in the border barrier that allows access into the country. The volunteers provide fruit, water, and blankets to the migrants while cleaning the area of trash. (KXAN)
- Yuma Taekwondo Center is inviting the community to participate in a family-friendly game of dodgeball during Ninja Night. The event will feature fun activities, games, and a special screening of Kung-Fu Panda 3. The center hopes that the event will introduce families to the benefits of Taekwondo. (KYMA)
- Soldiers with U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground met with students at Somerton Middle School during Career Day. The soldiers discussed the Proving Ground's task of testing every piece of equipment for missions. The event was meant to provide students with exposure to the types of jobs awaiting them after graduation. (DVIDS)
