Here are the top stories in Bentonville today:

  1. A two-phase change in Bentonville traffic pattern will see lane closures on E. Central Ave. between S.E./N.E J St. and S.E./N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Phase One will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 25 and is scheduled to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5. Phase Two is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 8 and will finish by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 15, for the installation of stormwater infrastructure.(KNWA)
  2. Dave and Jenny Marrs were named National Angels in Adoption honorees by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) on October 21. The Bentonville couple were nominated by U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) for their advocacy of adoption and other critical services for children in Arkansas and around the world. (KNWA)
  3. The city Planning Commission has approved the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art's expansion plan. Commission members voted 7-0 for the large-scale development. The museum, which opened on Nov. 11, 2011, is at 600 Museum Way. The museum in April revealed plans for an expansion that will increase its size by 50%, adding 100,000 square feet to the 200,000-square-foot facility. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
  4. Bentonville residents can give input on the use of American Rescue Plan money at a public meeting on Nov. 2. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
