Here are the top 3 stories in Bentonville today:

  1. A new study was presented on Friday at the monthly Housing Affordability Committee meeting that showed a disparity in the Bentonville affordable housing market. According to the committee's data, the most inexpensive home listed for sale is $240,000, a price that would require an income of about $72,000. However, 2019 census data presented at the meeting showed that 30 percent of Bentonville's population doesn't make that much money. The committee hopes to continue researching the situation and find a solution in the months to come. (KNWA )
  2. Doctor Farina King gave a presentation at the Museum of Native American History (MONAH) this weekend. In honor of Women's History Month, she spoke of the indigenous Diné women and how healing has transcended generations. If you weren't able to attend the presentation and want to learn more about the Diné women, you can find more information on MONAH's events page. (KNWA)
  3. To those looking ahead to voting in May for preferential primary and nonpartisan judicial and school board elections, the Benton County Election Commission has approved a list of voting sites. To vote in the May primaries, voters must register before Apr. 25. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
