  1. The Benton County Quorum Court on Thursday night approved an ordinance packed with items to be funded by the American Rescue Plan. Fiscal 2022 American Rescue Plan appropriations include phase I of a triage center at the county jail for $100,000. The first phase will cover programming and conceptual design for the proposed triage facility along with a master plan for future growth at the jail campus on Southwest 14th Street.   2. Word is spreading regarding a viral TikTok challenge that encourages students to bring weapons to their schools on December 17. Northwest Arkansas school representatives have begun to react, including Dr. Debbie Jones, Superintendent of Bentonville Schools. (KNWA)
  3. A project to coordinate Bentonville's traffic signals is intended to improve traffic in one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)

  • Each year the Bentonville Police Department recognizes certain employees for going above and beyond their duties and serving our citizens at a high level. During this process, the department recognizes employees at three different levels which are Officer of the Year, Telecommunicator of the Year, and Professional Staff Member of the Year. (Facebook)
