1. Police In Arkansas Gain Attention After 'Parents Night Out' Revealed (arkansasradio.com) — Bentonville parents, guardians, and educators are invited to a free Parent Night Out on Sept. 10 at Keypoint Church, hosted by the Benton County Sheriff's Office, to learn how to better protect kids online. The evening will cover digital risks, warning signs, and practical safety strategies, with doors opening at 5 p.m., a 6 p.m. program start, and snacks provided by a local charity partner.
2. Planning commission approves Bentonville Health Care Campus (nwahomepage.com) — Bentonville's planning commission has unanimously approved the first phase of a major new Bentonville Health Care Campus just east of downtown, moving the project closer to construction. Backed by the Alice L. Walton Foundation, the campus will include two hospital buildings, a parking garage, and utility plant, with green spaces and wellness-focused design, and is slated to finish its first phase by late 2028.
3. National organization 'Chamber of Mothers' launches Northwest Arkansas chapter (5newsonline.com) — Mothers in Bentonville will soon have a new way to connect and advocate, as the national Chamber of Mothers launches a Northwest Arkansas chapter with a kickoff meeting in town on Sept. 29. Organizers aim to build community, share resources on maternal health and childcare, and help local moms from all backgrounds speak up on issues affecting families across the region.
4. Local students receive awards from Garden Club (nwaonline.com) — Two Creekside Middle School students from Bentonville have earned top honors in a regional bird poster contest, with their artwork showcased at garden shows over the summer. The Bella Vista Garden Club will sponsor the contest again this year, with entries due November 11, giving Bentonville educators and students another chance to celebrate nature through art.
5. September Just Got More Creative 🎨 (4029tv.com) — Bentonville residents can dive into a packed month of creative events at The Momentary, from a free print fair on Sept. 5 to a supper club, lettering workshop, and a community conversation on belonging. Most programs are ticketed but general admission is free, giving locals plenty of options to explore art, food, and ideas close to home this September.
