2. Marlon Blackwell Architects' U.S. Pavilion for the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale to Be Reconstructed at Crystal Bridges, Arkansas (archdaily.com) — Crystal Bridges in Bentonville will reconstruct the U.S. Pavilion from the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale on its wooded campus in late 2027, adding another distinctive gathering space to its trails and streams. The timber-framed PORCH pavilion will extend the museum's recent expansion and offer residents and visitors a new outdoor venue for community programs and events.
3. Crystal Bridges acquires Roy Lichtenstein's monumental 'Brushstroke' (seegreatart.art) — Bentonville's Crystal Bridges Campus is adding Roy Lichtenstein's towering Brushstroke sculpture on the lawn by Heartland Whole Health Institute, giving visitors a dramatic new landmark to encounter as they arrive. Set among trails and gardens on the 134-acre campus, the piece deepens the city's growing mix of public art, wellness spaces, and outdoor experiences.
4. Could you help a child stay in their community? EverHope launches foster family challenge (4029tv.com) — Families in Bentonville and across Northwest Arkansas are being asked to step up as EverHope launches its 10 Family Challenge to recruit urgently needed foster homes by year's end. The Bentonville-based nonprofit outlines who can qualify, how the licensing process works, and several ways residents can help even if they can't foster themselves.
5. Affordable housing development rises from 2024 tornado damage in Rogers (5newsonline.com) — Northwest Arkansas' affordable housing push now includes McCauley Place in Bentonville, a new development aimed at teachers and community workers. Opened in September, it complements Rogers' Walnut Commons and is part of Excellerate Foundation's broader effort to add hundreds of reasonably priced units as the region's population and housing costs climb.
