- A new city-owned animal services facility was approved by the city Planning Commission on Tuesday in a 7-0 vote. The 7,100-square-foot center will be located at the intersection of Southwest I and Southwest 41st streets and will cost an estimated $3.56 million. Bentonville residents will be able to adopt a pet, register a pet, get information on responsible pet ownership, and volunteer at the facility. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
- Benton County Judge Barry Moehring announced Tuesday that Melody Kwok had begun as the county's new communications director. Kwok replaces Channing Barker, who was the first to hold the position and left the county in November. Kwok previously worked for the Gravette School District as the communications and technology specialist. (Arkansas Online)
- The Momentary announced the opening of its new parking garage, located just south of the museum. The museum's main parking lot will be closed through mid-February to create a new pathway from the garage to the building. During the closure, the museum asks that visitors park in the new garage and follow the temporary walking path to the main entrance. (KNWA)
