The award was based on employee surveys, which credited the animal shelter with having a people-first culture that has created a thriving environment for its employees. Best Friends Animal Society CEO Julie Castle said the recognition is a critical part of the organization's mission "to bring the country no-kill by 2025." (KNWA)
