- Benton County has selected a new redistricting map. On December 17, the Benton County Election Commission reviewed four maps and decided on map four. Some changes will come with the map. (KNWA)
- Benton County Circuit Judge Tom Smith recently received an award in Washington, D.C., for his efforts in bringing juvenile justice change to the county. Natalia Palacios, president of the center's board of directors, said Smith received the award in recognition of his leadership in bringing the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative and juvenile justice change to the county.
