The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Bentonville.

Hello again, Bentonville! Important update: You all, as readers, have made the Bentonville Daily so successful that it is my honor to announce the next stage of the newsletter. Patch is looking for a local writer and entrepreneur to take the helm of the Bentonville Daily. Although I have loved getting to know this community, we want to pass the torch to someone truly local to write about Bentonville long term. So if you're interested in earning extra income while making this newsletter a more valuable resource for your neighbors, learn more and apply here.

First, today's weather:

Mostly sunny and warmer. High: 60 Low: 35.

Here are the top three stories today in Bentonville:

  1. Even though the weather was cold on certain mornings over the weekend, warmer weather is coming soon! The Bentonville Square is in full bloom with more flowers to come—after all, April showers bring May flowers. The picture in this link is courtesy of community member Ann S., and Bentonville's 5News encourages others to share photos of the community for the chance to be featured! (5News)
  2. The City of Bentonville is looking for artists! Though cricket may not be the most commonly played sport in the United States, Bentonville is proud to have unique activities that bring its residents together. To celebrate the sport of cricket and the community it creates in Bentonville, the city is looking for artists to submit proposals for an original work that will eventually become a landmark piece in the new 25-acre Creekside Park. 3. If you're heading north of Bentonville next week, Benton County issued a notice that Looney Road between County Road 40 and Commonwealth Road will be closed to thru-traffic from Thursday at 8 a.m. through Friday at 3:30 p.m. The road is closed due to planned construction to install a triple run of culverts which will help drainage in the area. County officials say this construction may be subject to delays depending on the weather. (Benton County Facebook)
