Here are the top three stories in Bentonville today:
- Bentonville's Red Iron Bridge is closed after damages from recent severe weather. The bridge is a highly traveled route for a lot of the community and the city is working to reopen the bridge as soon as humanly possible. The city has not been able to open a detour as of Monday afternoon. (KNWA)
- The jury trial for Elijah Michael Andazola, 19, has been scheduled for January 2023. Andazola is facing charges of accomplice to capital murder and escaping during the killing of a Pea Ridge police officer. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently being held in the Benton County Jail without bail. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
- A limited liability company owned by the Walton brothers has announced the purchase of an existing Walmart corporate campus location. The plot of land is reportedly worth $60 million and is located at Eight Street and Walton Boulevard in Bentonville. The deal was announced during a corporate event with a purchase price disclosure being announced on Apr. 15. (talkbusiness.net)
