Here are the top stories in Bentonville today:
- The Bentonville Farmers Market hit a record-breaking $1,164,492 in sales for the 2021 season, according to a release from Downtown Bentonville Inc. The market is held each Saturday from April through October, with the final market of the year scheduled for Saturday, October 30. As the downtown weekly market season ends, efforts will shift to support the use of the Virtual Bentonville Farmers Market, a year-round option for shoppers to purchase fresh vegetables, local meats, and artisanal goods through a website or smartphone app. (KNWA)
- Walmart announced that a supply chain hiring event will be held at 5801 S.W. Regional Airport Blvd. in Bentonville on November 3-4, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. The Bentonville-based retailer announced in a press release that it will be filling a wide range of roles, including lift drivers and order-fillers at grocery facilities, order-fillers, and shipping loaders at Ambient facilities, diesel technicians and drivers at transportation facilities, and warehouse workers and power equipment operators in fulfillment facilities.
