A Bentonville student won first place in the 2022 Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas State Spelling Bee on Saturday. 12-year-old Aditi Shashidhara beat more than 50 other students from across the state to claim the coveted title. The runner-up for the contest, which took place at the Arkansas 4-H Center in Little Rock, was Eleanor Christine Huff of White County. (KATV)
  2. The cartoonist known for the popular "Pearls Before Swine" comic says he hopes to stop by Bentonville later this month. Comic creator Stephan Pastis will travel through Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Eureka Springs for his "I Just Gotta Get Out of the House" mini-book tour and is looking to add additional stops in cities including Bentonville and Fayetteville. Copies of the book will also be available for purchase at each leg of Pastis's tour. (Arkansas Online)
  3. Five new homes are now on the market in the Bentonville area. The new listings include a sunlit ranch-style home on Southeast G Street and a spacious five-bedroom unit on Yale Street.
