1. The Bentonville School District has approved plans to hire a demographer to help with enrollment projections. RSP and Associates, a firm based in Overland Park, Kansas, will perform both an enrollment analysis and an attendance boundary analysis at a total cost of $60,000. Data collection will begin immediately, and RSP plans to provide a presentation to the school board in May. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
2. Bentonville Schools dismissed students one hour early on Wednesday due to the possibility of severe weather. The district also canceled all athletic and extracurricular practices, games, and events. (4029tv)
3. Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville announced Wednesday that it is now offering three-dimensional mammography in its imaging department. 3D mammography, or breast tomosynthesis, is used to identify the early stages of breast cancer. NMC-B Radiology Manager Angela Brackin says the new technology will help the hospital better detect breast cancers by providing access to more detailed images. (KNWA)
