Good day, people of Bentonville! It's me again, Sean Peek, your host of the Bentonville Daily.

Here are the top 3 stories in Bentonville today:

  1. Benton County deputies were led on a car chase between Siloam Springs and Tontitown on Saturday after attempting to stop a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The driver did not comply and led deputies and local officers on a chase that continued until the suspect ran out of gas. Deputies said the pursuit took place around 2:00 p.m. and ended when several vehicles from both the Benton County Sheriff's Office and Tontitown Police Department surrounded the car after it went off the road. (KNWA)
  2. The latest report of restaurant inspections in Benton County was released on Tuesday. Multiple establishments including Taqueria El Cunado, Bariola's Pizzeria, and Big Orange were cited for critical violations. Critical violations are those factors leading to foodborne illness and must be corrected immediately, while noncritical violations relate to maintenance of food operations and cleanliness. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
  3. Initial prep work has begun on a $3.9 million fire training center for the Bentonville Fire Department. The new center will be located on Southwest Aviation Drive and was part of the city's $266 million bond plan for capital projects and bond refinancing that voters approved in April. Bentonville is currently the only city in Northwest Arkansas without its own training facilities for emergency personnel. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
