🌱 Bentonville Bike Lanes + Man Charged With Abuse Of Minors

Here are the top three stories in Bentonville today:

  1. Construction on protected bike lines across two corridors in Bentonville has officially started. According to a city news release, the areas include Northwest Third Street (from Walton Boulevard to the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve) and Southwest Eighth Street (from Southwest I Street to the Applegate Trailhead.) Officials state all construction should be completed by this summer. (Free: One News USA; Subscription: Arkansas Online)
  2. A Bentonville man has been accused of sexually abusing at least four children. On Monday, Bentonville police launched an investigation of 34-year-old Matthew Lynn Russell after receiving a report from a school counselor. Russel was arrested on Wednesday on three counts of rape among other sexual assault and grooming charges. (Subscription: Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
  3. SE 4th Street will remain partially closed by the intersection of SE G Street and SE 4th Street through Friday, Mar. 25. The closure will allow the city to install a storm drainage system. Unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather may postpone or extend these closures. (Bentonville Patch)
