Here are the top stories in Bentonville today:

  1. Bentonville residents will soon see driverless box trucks on the road delivering for Walmart. The big-box retailer has teamed up with autonomous vehicle company Gatik to move customer orders between a Walmart "dark store" and a Neighborhood Market in its fleet of multi-temperature autonomous box trucks. This is the first time an autonomous trucking company has removed the safety driver from a commercial delivery route on the middle mile anywhere in the world, according to a press release.   2. Bentonville agency The Retail Firm has been acquired by a Minnesota consumer brand agency, The Stable. Founded by Josh Breeden in 2018, The Retail Firm offers full-service sales support, supply chain services, data analytics, and category insights for national brands. All 20 of the firm's employees will join The Stable's existing Walmart team. (talkbusiness.net)
  3. SE 8th St. at the SE J St. intersection in Bentonville will be closed until Nov. 21 due to utility construction with Black Hills Energy. (KNWA)
