- A Benton County detective who spent months hospitalized with COVID-19 has finally returned home. Detective Jim Johnson is currently using a wheelchair while he undergoes rehabilitation, but deputies from the Benton County Sheriff's Office have teamed up to build a ramp for Johnson's home. Johnson's wife Amber says she hopes her husband's journey will send a message to others to never give up. (Westside Eagle Observer)
- Fire departments in Benton County are making preparations for incoming winter weather on Thursday. Captain Shawn Treat says the Rogers Fire Department is working to ensure that trucks are adequately equipped with ice melt, chains, and staff. The fire departments are urging residents of Benton County to prepare for the upcoming storm and to reach out with any questions. (KNWA)
- Students from Bentonville High School are gaining hands-on experience volunteering at Mercy Hospital Northwest. The students have all earned their CNA certifications through the district's Ignite Professional Studies program and are working in all areas of the hospital, including the intensive care unit, the emergency room, and the COVID-19 unit. Bobbie Morris, director of nursing at Mercy, says the hospital staff is grateful for the positivity the students provide. (4029tv)
