Here are the top stories today in Bentonville:
- Benton County Circuit Judge John Scott was injured and transported to a local hospital on Monday after being hit by a vehicle downtown. Judge Scott's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Police and firefighters responded to the intersection of Northeast Second and Northeast A streets at 3:53 p.m. regarding a vehicle that had struck a pedestrian who turned out to be Judge Scott. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
- Kids in Benton County got to shop with a cop on Dec. 7. The annual event gives underprivileged kids the chance to go shopping with a deputy from the sheriff's office. The kids are able to grab special items off of their "Need" and "Want" lists. (KNWA)
- Downtown Bentonville event venue Record will soon host a community market on select Saturdays through March. (5newsonline.com)
- A judge issued rulings Monday on several motions in the case of a Rogers man, Joshua Anderson, accused of killing a 2-year-old girl. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
