- Benton County Circuit Judge John Scott is resting at home after he was struck by a car downtown on Monday. Judge Scott will need surgery after injuring his shoulder and arm in the incident, Benton County Judge Barry Moehring told justices of the peace at their Committee of the Whole meeting Tuesday. Scott was crossing Northeast Second Street, just outside the Benton County Courthouse, in the crosswalk when a car hit him, according to police. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
- An Oven and Tap employee was let go after a generous party left a $4,400 tip. Ryan Brandt was one of two servers waiting on a party of more than forty people at Oven and Tap in Bentonville. When it came time to pay the bill, each person in the party left a $100 dollar tip for a collective $4,400 for the two waitresses. However, Brandt says the restaurant asked her to share the tip with her co-workers and was fired for violating policy "by telling [the party] about pooling the tips." (KNWA)
- East Central Avenue will be closed in Bentonville between SE/NE "A" Street and SE/NE "F" Street from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on Monday, Dec. 13 for utility construction. (Press Release Desk)
