- Downtown Bentonville Inc. announced the annual Lighting of the Square celebration will take place on Saturday, Nov. 20. Mayor Stephanie Orman will flip the switch, illuminating the Bentonville Square with 35 miles of lights. In the center of the fountain is a 22-foot animated Christmas tree with lights synced to music until 11 p.m. nightly. 24 maintenance employees from Bentonville Parks and Recreation, along with temporary staff, dedicated approximately 3,100 hours of labor to create the holiday setting. - On Thursday, The University of Health and Performance (UHP) hosted a Veterans Day event to honor those who served in the military. The invitation-only event included presentations from UHP founder Matt Hesse, Congressman Steve Womack, and guest of honor John Cena. UHP was founded in Bentonville as a wellness and education program. (4029tv)
