1. After 24 days in the hospital and 17 days in the ICU, Mark Valentine is back home with his family recovering after falling off a ladder while decorating for the annual Bentonville Heart Lites display. According to Valentine, if it weren't for his neighbor across the street, he may not be here today. (4029tv)
2. Benton County was hit by thousands of power outages after storms rolled through Northwest Arkansas on December 10. Carroll Electric reports 3,495 customers have been without power. (KNWA)
3. Larry Patrick has been appointed to the District 1 spot on the Benton County Quorum Court by Gov. Asa Hutchinson. Patrick replaces Mike McKenzie of Rogers, who announced his resignation in September. He and his wife bought a home in Bentonville outside his district. (Arkansas Online)
