🌱 Menorah Lighting At Chabad House + DEB Project Gives Back

- Coming off the heels of the Thanksgiving holiday, dozens attended Bentonville's Menorah lighting ceremony at the Chabad Jewish Center on Sunday. Led by Rabbi Mendel Greisman, the Menorah at the Chabad House was lit to mark the beginning of the holiday. Prior to the lighting ceremony, Greisman and his congregation celebrated the holiday with traditional latkes, doughnuts, and dreidels. (5newsonline.com)
- A nautically themed painting by Thomas Hart Benton is included in the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art's current exhibition, "In American Waters: The Sea in American Painting." The exhibition features more than 100 works depicting the "beauty, violence, poetry and transformative power" of the sea from historical, modern, and contemporary American artists. Featured artists include Benton, Paul Cadmus, Nick Cave, Georgia O'Keeffe, Charles Willson Peale, Norman Rockwell, Gilbert Stuart, and Kay WalkingStick. (Joplin Globe)
- A Bentonville outreach program that benefits foster children was featured in the 5News Community Spotlight. The DEB Project — short for "Deserving Enriched & Blessed" — collects donated clothing and gives them to children in need. The program also serves as a resource for school social workers in meeting the needs of the children they serve. (5newsonline.com)
