Here are the top three stories in Bentonville today:

1. The City of Bentonville will be hosting a multicultural community celebration on Saturday. The exciting event will be held in the Bentonville Square starting at 4:00 p.m. The celebration is meant to recognize the diverse, inclusive, and thriving community that Bentonville residents enjoy on a daily basis. 2. The Bentonville Planning Commission approved several rezoning requests on Tuesday. The commission unanimously approved a map amendment by RJ Roth Holdings LLC for its 5.31 acres Tunbridge Rive property. Click the link to see the full list of approved rezoning requests. 3. Benton County still has approximately $20 million in its COVID-19 rental assistance fund. The county has reportedly distributed almost $15 million from the fund to about 3,000 residents affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic since February 2021. Any remaining funds will be sent back to the federal government in September. (4029tv)

• The City of Bentonville announces lane closures on East Central and NE J Street starting this morning. Starting 9:00 a.m. and continuing through 5:00 p.m. next Thursday, Apr. 28, the right turn lane of East Central Ave at NE "J" St will be closed. The northbound lane of NE J Street at E Central Ave. will also be closed with traffic being shifted to a designated lane. (Facebook)
