Hello again, Bentonville! Important update: You all, as readers, have made the Bentonville Daily so successful that it is my honor to announce the next stage of the newsletter. Patch is looking for a local writer and entrepreneur to take the helm of the Bentonville Daily. Here are the top three stories in Bentonville today:
- The City of Bentonville will be hosting a multicultural community celebration on Saturday. The exciting event will be held in the Bentonville Square starting at 4:00 p.m. The celebration is meant to recognize the diverse, inclusive, and thriving community that Bentonville residents enjoy on a daily basis. - The Bentonville Planning Commission approved several rezoning requests on Tuesday. The commission unanimously approved a map amendment by RJ Roth Holdings LLC for its 5.31 acres Tunbridge Rive property. Click the link to see the full list of approved rezoning requests. - Benton County still has approximately $20 million in its COVID-19 rental assistance fund. The county has reportedly distributed almost $15 million from the fund to about 3,000 residents affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic since February 2021. Any remaining funds will be sent back to the federal government in September. (4029tv)

- The City of Bentonville announces lane closures on East Central and NE J Street starting this morning. Starting 9:00 a.m. and continuing through 5:00 p.m. next Thursday, Apr. 28, the right turn lane of East Central Ave at NE "J" St will be closed. The northbound lane of NE J Street at E Central Ave. will also be closed with traffic being shifted to a designated lane. (Facebook)
