Here are the top 3 stories today in Bentonville:

  1. Northwest Arkansas Community College's Land Committee has recommended naming the campus's Integrated Design Lab after the school's president Evelyn Jorgenson. Jorgenson began her tenure as NACC's third president in 2013 and plans to retire this summer. The college's previous two presidents, Becky Paneitz and Bob Burns, already have campus buildings named after them. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
  2. The Bentonville School District is one of four major districts across Northwest Arkansas putting an end to contact tracing and quarantine requirements. Leslee Wright, district communications director, says the change will help ease the burden of the district's nursing and teaching staff. School districts in Rogers, Springdale, and Fayetteville have joined Bentonville in ending these requirements. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
  3. Mild weather will return to Bentonville this weekend following Thursday's mix of rain and snow. Friday's forecast calls for sunshine with a high of 48 and temperatures rising into the weekend.
