  1. Bentonville School District staff members will receive a two percent raise for the upcoming school year. School Board members approved the raise in a meeting on Tuesday, citing needs to offset the cost of inflation and ensure the district remains competitive with neighboring schools. The raise is estimated to cost $3.2 million annually and will be paid for with additional tax revenue from increases in property value. (Arkansas Online)
  2. The founder and executive director of a children's activity center was arrested in Benton County on Monday. According to Nathan Smith, prosecuting attorney for Benton County, the suspect was arrested on two counts of Sexual Indecency with a child and one count of Sexual Assault in the second degree. The suspect, Cory Mayhew, is currently being held in Benton County without bond. (KNWA)
  3. The Bentonville Planning Commission approved requests to rezone three parcels on the east side of Tater Black Road in a 7-0 vote on Tuesday. The request would see the 6.71 acre-property in question rezoned from residential estate to medium-density, two-family, and townhome residential. City Council will vote for final approval of the request at 6:00 p.m. on Mar. 29. (Arkansas Online)
