A case against a Bentonville man accused of killing another man last February will go to trial this summer. 44-year-old Glenn Thatcher is charged with capital murder in the death of Robert Blau and is currently being held without bond in the Benton County Jail. On Tuesday, Benton County Circuit Judge Robin Green scheduled jury selection for Thatcher's case to begin June 10 and the trial to begin June 13. (Arkansas Online)
  2. A burn ban was issued for Benton County on Tuesday. The Pea Ridge Fire Department announced the ban in a social media post, stating that no outside burning of any kind would be permitted. The ban, which went into effect on Tuesday afternoon, was scheduled to last 24 hours. (KNWA)
  3. Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the discovery of a homemade explosive device in Bella Vista on New Year's Eve. A bond hearing was held Tuesday for 38-year-old Joseph Witten and 42-year-old Ricky Burnett. Both men are being held at the Benton County Jail and face the charge of criminal acts involving explosives, which is a Class B felony. (KNWA)
