- Polls opened for Bentonville parents to vote on a new school board member for Zone 7 yesterday. Zone 7 is the only zone with a contested race. Everybody within the Bentonville School District can vote, but only the people within Zone 7 will show a candidate race on their ballot. (4029tv)
- Walmart will be hosting a nationwide hiring event this week at 5801 SW Regional Airport Blvd. in Bentonville. The big box retailer is seeking to add thousands of new supply chain associates at an average hourly wage of $20.37. Interested applicants can visit the Distribution Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today (Nov. 3) and tomorrow (Nov. 4) to apply. (5newsonline.com)
- Scarlett Lewis, an Arkansas native who lost her six-year-old son in 2012 in the Sandy Hook school shooting, invites the city of Bentonville to join her in celebrating "Choose Love Day" on Tuesday, Nov. 9. The event will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bentonville Square and will feature music and games. Guests are invited to bring their family and traditional, non-perishable food or toys to the square.
