  1. The Bentonville School District's annual school election is set for Nov. 2. Early voting begins Tuesday, Oct. 26 through Friday, Oct. 29, and the last day to vote early is Monday, Nov. 1. Only voters in Zone 7 will have a school board race on their ballot, as Zone 3 has one unopposed candidate and all other ballots will only reflect the millage rate question. (5newsonline.com)
  2. With the support of Governor Hutchinson, Bentonville schools have officially filed their notice to appeal a ruling in the face mask lawsuit against the district. Last week, Benton County Circuit Court Judge Xollie Duncan ruled that the face mask policy violated the "constitutional rights of parents and students" and that it was "enacted without proper authority." The case will be heard by the Arkansas Supreme Court since it involves interpretation of the state constitution. (4029tv)
  3. Bentonville Soup is on a mission to promote community-based development through crowdfunding, creativity, and collaboration. The organization bills itself as a "communal micro granting dinner" that supports creative projects in the city using admission money collected at the door. (KNWA)
  4. Bentonville Tigers Coach Jody Grant put younger players on the field in their recent wins against Fort Smith Southside and Rogers Heritage to give them experience and to help the Tigers be at full strength when they face Fayetteville in tonight's 7A-West Conference showdown.   5. Player registration is open now for the 2022 spring season of Bentonville Youth Baseball, Youth Softball, and Youth Soccer. Interested participants can sign up on the City's website or contact the Downtown Activity Center at 479-464-7275. (City of Bentonville)
