The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Bentonville.
Rise and shine, Bentonville! Let's get you started this Friday with everything you need to know going on around town today.
First, today's weather:
Periods of sun; breezy, humid. High: 79 Low: 66.
Here are the top 3 stories today in Bentonville:
- As the Summer 2022 concert season approaches, many Bentonville residents will flock to Walmart AMP to see their favorite singer or group perform. But it's important to note that the venue will be going cashless this 2022 season. Customers will still be able to purchase tickets at the box office using cash, but merchants and vendors inside the venue will only take debit or credit cards or mobile payments, including Google Pay and Apple Pay. Walmart AMP general manager Nick Zazal hope that this will cut down on wait times for concert-goers and enhance their overall experience. (Fayetteville Flyer)
- Bentonville drivers who frequently pass through Springdale should beware of ticket scams! The Springdale Police are reporting an uptick in email-based traffic ticket scams. Residents have been receiving emails warning them that their car was caught on a traffic camera while running a red light. The email provides a link for digital payment of the fine, but police warn that this is a scam. They advise residents not to pay or click on the link but instead delete the email. (KFSM 5Newsonline)
- It's clear that Bentonville residents care about the environment, and those who want to celebrate Earth Day have many opportunities to do so! Today, there will be a prairie to table dinner featuring Cherokee Chef Nico Albert, and tomorrow Felicia Cocotzin Ruiz, author of Earth Medicines will be giving a book talk and signing.
