Hey, people of Bentonville! Sean Peek here with today's edition of the Bentonville Daily.

First, today's weather:

Sunny to partly cloudy. High: 52 Low: 27.

Here are the top stories today in Bentonville:

  1. Across Northwest Arkansas, hundreds of wreaths were placed on veterans' graves as part of the nationwide Wreaths Across America Day this weekend. Local volunteers gathered on Saturday to pay homage to those who have served our country. Jennifer Scott, a Bentonville Boy Scouts den leader, told KNWA that wreath-laying allows the community to express their appreciation for veterans. "It's just a great way to honor those that have served our community and country," she said. (KNWA)
  2. Updated signal timing and coordination at 33 city traffic signals could make daily commutes easier for drivers in Bentonville. Traffic Engineering Consultants Inc. has been working with the City to collect traffic data, and engineers will be providing the city with new signalization plans. City officials expect to receive and implement the plans by mid-January, which will include retiming certain traffic signals along sections of Walton Boulevard, 14th Street, Arkansas 12, and Central Avenue. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
  3. Bentonville residents can expect plenty of sunshine in the week ahead, with temperatures reaching highs in the 50s and 60s leading up to Christmas Eve. There will also be slight wind gusts of 8 to 13 mph throughout the week. (Bentonville Patch)
