• Camden Fairview School Board OKs new digital signs (camdenarknews.com) — Camden Fairview schools are getting upgraded digital signs after the school board approved a $108,000 purchase from a Little Rock company, replacing aging, malfunctioning displays at four campuses. District leaders also reported storm damage repairs to the bus barn and Camden Fairview Middle School roof and awning, costs the district will absorb.
   

• Lonnie Joel Daws, age 66 (anaturalstatefuneralservice.com) — Camden-born Lonnie Joel Daws, 66, is being remembered for a life devoted to faith, family, and service, especially through the Shreveport/Bossier Rescue Mission. His family invites friends to a joyful celebration of his life on August 29 in Beebe, with donations encouraged to the mission he loved in lieu of flowers.
